Endemic species
Gikiri
One of the most remarkable species that inhabit Shrek's Left Nut are the Gikiri. Resembling a cross between a frog, a dragon, and a human, these amphibian-like creatures have greenish-blue skin, giant yellow eyes, and a long, prehensile tail. Though they are considered a peaceful species, they have an incredible affinity for magic and warfare. They often use their magical abilities to protect the other creatures that inhabit the world, and have been known to go to battle against any who would threaten the delicate balance of their world. Their cities are some of the most beautiful in the world, with intricate towers and stone walls, and hidden pathways and magical wardrobes. The Gikiri are a fiercely loyal species, and a must-see for any visitor to this remarkable world.
