Somnium is an Ice World, and is known as the "Planet of Dreams", a dark joke among spacefarers, given its cold and unforgiving climate. It is said that this is where lost souls go to die, and hope goes to die with them. It is a dumping ground for space pirates and colonisers, a place where no one ever wants to find themselves. But for those who do, it is a place of endless night, where the only warmth comes from the fires of hell.
Soulless Ones
The aliens of Somnium are a cold and heartless people, said to be the souls of the damned who have taken physical form. They are tall and gaunt, with pale skin and eyes that glow a eerie blue in the darkness. They dress in tattered rags, and their only possessions are the weapons they use to hunt and kill. They are a people without hope, without mercy, and without anything to live for but the kill. The aliens of Somnium are known as the "Soulless Ones", a name given to them by the few who have escaped their clutches.
