Zaurilia is a sight unlike any other in the known universe. Visible from millions of light years away, the luminescent orange and yellow hues of the lava fountains that pour from the poles catch the eye of any would-be explorer willing to brave the extreme temperatures to get a closer look. Once on the planet's surface the explorer would be met with even more wonders - the incredibly huge rock based creatures that roam the landscape, towering ten times the size of a human, and giving off a green luminescence in the night. But the most unexpected aspect of Zaurilia is the fact that it has a companion planet, one that orbits in the same system and is shrouded in a thick atmosphere, allowing for it to be habitable and potentially teeming with life. A treasure beyond compare, and a secret that only the bravest of souls have been allowed to keep.

Endemic species
The Zaurilians
The native species of Zaurilia, the Zaurilians, are an incredibly unique form of life. They stand up to two feet tall, have four arms, and are entirely orange in coloration. Their eyes are large and constantly glow in the deep darkness of the lava-filled landscape, making them visible from miles away.
The Zaurilians have a highly advanced form of communication which is based on a set of telepathic and electro-magnetic signals. This allows them to travel in huge groups and to even coordinate their actions on a grand scale.
The Zaurilians are a peaceful species, devoted to helping the other life forms of their world. They are naturally curious and have an insatiable desire to explore the universe, although they are also incredibly respectful of other creatures. Despite their small size, they possess formidable telekinetic powers which they use to fight off hostile creatures and protect the ecosystem of their world.
