Somnipheria is a lush and vibrant Terran world, reaching for the stars with its jagged, snowy mountains, bright and windy deserts, and sprawling, rolling forests. But, with all its beauty, there is something peculiar about this world, something that sets it apart from all others in this corner of the universe.
What is unique is that no matter where you are, no matter what hour of the day it is, everyone seems to be in a deep, hushed slumber. People around the planet wear pyjamas of all colours and all sizes, and children still love being told bedtime stories and lullabies. But, the air of Somnipheria is heavy with sleep, so much so that it is said that even the birds and the bees do not make a sound.
They say that the planet has been like this since ancient times, and those who reside here are rarely affected – they are blessed with the ability to sleep whenever and for as long as they like. But for those without this advantage, it is not uncommon to find valerian and sleeping pills being sold in local marketplaces as if they were candy. A traveler must remember to be vigilant, as Somnipheria is a planet

Endemic species
Somneri
The native species of Somnipheria are known as the Somneri. They are tiny, crystalline humanoids with a large and delicate set of butterfly wings extending from their back. In the harsh sunlight, their wings refract the light in a dizzying rainbow of colours, giving them the appearance of a shimmering cloud.
The Somneri are known to exist in a state of almost perpetual sleep. They can go for days at a time without so much as moving a muscle or twitching an eye. Scientists have long pondered the reasons for the Somneri's sleep-like state – is it adaptation from the planet's atmosphere or is it a trait that has been passed down through generations?
Although they may appear to be asleep all the time, the Somneri are actually quite keenly alert and adept when it comes to their environment. They may appear fragile, but they are highly efficient hunters, tracking and capturing their prey with an uncanny skill. It is said that they can even sense their prey, even in the moment of its death, before it has even been seen, leaving their prey to die in surprise.
The Somneri have a unique way of communicating with one another, speaking in telepathic tones
