Arcadia is a brutal desert world, where the sun blazes white-hot above and the sand sears below. Beneath the surface lies an opal core, said to be imbued with the power of the crystal gods, who are thought to have formed the planet in their image. The desert dwellers have developed complex social laws, learning to engineer their own magic and build grand citadels to honor the gods. Here, the wise scholars are held in high esteem, while the rebels can be found in the underground bonfires of their secret meetings. Master alchemists breathe life into the sand, creating wonders and wonders from the silica that lies beneath. Yet, danger is ever-present as the hidden powers of Arcadia are ever-growing.

Endemic species
The Sandweavers
The Arcadians are an ancient species native to the planet, who have adapted to the harsh environment with a combination of magic and engineering. They stand taller than the average human, and their skin is the color of the desert sand with a lustrous sheen. They have four eyes, two of which can see in the infrared spectrum, allowing them to see through the harsh desert heat. They are also blessed with incredible strength, able to easily lift twice their weight and move effortlessly through the desert sand. They also have an affinity for sand manipulation, using it to create powerful magical effects that they can use in combat or casting. Arcane secrets hidden within the core of Arcadia have granted the Arcadians powerful immortality, allowing them to live for millennia, gaining knowledge and power over time.
