Balatharius is an ice world, cloaked in perpetual winter. The air has an ethereal quality due to the red clouded sky that hangs overhead, giving the planet an oppressive, otherworldly feel. It is a world of extremes, with vast oceans of snow and ice that stretch as far as the eye can see, only punctuated by snow capped mountains and sharp, jagged ice formations.
In stark contrast to these seemingly empty expanses is the thriving mega city of Balatharius, an expansive megalopolis that spreads out for miles and miles, a bustling center of commerce and technology, its gleaming metallic spires reaching up to the skies. It is an incredible contrast to the vast and empty icy wasteland that surrounds it, and a testament to the immense power of human ingenuity.

Endemic species
Reizo
The primary species living on Balatharius is the Reizos, a race of semi-aquatic humanoids that are highly adapted to their icy home world. They possess a unique adaptation, allowing them to survive in the sub-zero temperatures, allowing them to dive beneath the icy seas and scavenge for food. With their dark, leathery skin and large webbed hands and feet, they are capable of navigating the icy waters with ease, their sharp claw-like fingers helping them to cling to the slippery surfaces. Reizos are not a particularly social species, instead choosing to keep to themselves and living in small, close-knit communities tucked away in the depths of Balatharius' icy wilderness.
