Terra Preta is a desert world, but one unlike any other. Its sands and dunes are stained a deep red, evidence of the lab synthesized demon blood that was used to grow the planet. In the shadows of this seemingly barren world, lurks a hidden and thriving civilization. Vampires roam as sybarites, drawn to the darkness that pervades the air. But it is in the light of day, and with purpose, that free thinkers, political refugees, and all manner of misfits have carved out a safe haven for themselves. They are a people that love the good life, and celebrate it with frequent orgies and many massive ground cats. Terra Preta is a place both mysterious and unique, a world that promises danger and excitement in equal measure.

The Terripreters
The inhabitants of Terra Preta are the Terripreters, an alien race of vampires who have adapted to the harsh conditions of their desert home. They have developed an immunity to the sun, enabling them to brave the light of day for short periods of time, but for the most part the Terripreters prefer the shadows. As a result, they are often shrouded in cloaks, though it is said that their eyes are so powerful they can see right through them. Their clothing is often elaborate and ornate, a reflection of their love of good life and excess. They have a variety of abilities, ranging from mind control and manipulation, to physical strength and agility enhanced by their unnatural immortality. They are a fiercely independent people and fiercely loyal to each other, a trait that will serve them well in their hostile environment.
