Endemic species
Kumas-Kuma
The native species of Vanua are bipedal, mammalian creatures known as Kuma-Kuma. They are covered in a thick coat of bright blue fur and have wide, expressive eyes set in a rounded face. They have pointed ears, short tails and long, powerful legs. The Kumas-Kuma are highly social creatures, living in large family groups and working together to build elaborate structures and centers of worship. They are an incredibly curious people, always eager to explore the universe and seek out the unknown. They have an innate understanding of the natural world, and have a deep reverence for the beauty and wonders of Vanua. With their bright blue coats, they are a striking and vibrant addition to the unique and diverse ecology of Vanua.
