Wonky Wub is an eerie, yet captivating barren world with a perpetually lit side and a side shrouded in darkness. Its day-night cycle is determined by its tidally locked orbits, where one side is constantly facing its star, Sam Koot, and the other remains in perpetual night. The molten core of Wonky Wub is especially unique; within it lies a solid iron core that is constantly churning and bubbling within the depths of its molten mantle. On its dark side, strange and effervescent gases bubble up from its core and into the atmosphere, illuminated by an array of stars that have been trapped in Wonky Wub's high speed orbit. It is a planet that is truly entrancing and mysterious, one that always has something more to explore.

Endemic species
Volarwho
The residents of Wonky Wub are a species of dark-skinned aliens called the Volarwho. They are a resilient race, capable of surviving in the extreme temperatures of their environment. They have a humanoid shape to their bodies, with long, slim arms and legs and four long fingers. Their skin, as dark as the night sky, is adorned with bioluminescent stripes and patterns, glowing in shades of eerie blues that pulse in rhythm to their movements.
The Volarwho have evolved to live off the volatile gases that bubble up from the core of Wonky Wub, rather than from the nutrients from the soil. They are able to absorb the energy from these gases, giving them an energy source to sustain them in this hostile environment. Their eyes are uniquely adapted to the faint light of the stars in the night sky, and they spend much of their time exploring the darkness of the realm in search of new discoveries.
The Volarwho are incredibly curious and are passionate about exploration. They are also fiercely protective of their home planet, often fiercely defending it from intruders.
