Aurora is an icy world, only sparsely inhabited by a small and hardy population. Its days are short and its nights are long, the light that breaks through the thick clouds not doing much to banish the piercing winter chill. The sun rises as a feeble glimmer on some days, only to vanish again in a matter of hours. Despite the hostile environment, Aurora is a fragile world, with vast glaciers bearing witness to an ancient time before the planet succombed to the unrelenting winter. Those who call it home must learn to adapt to its unique and unforgiving environment, but for those who do, the rewards are plentiful.

Endemic species
Auroran
The Auroraans are a tall, humanoid species well-adapted to the hostile environment of their frozen world. Their skin is blue, a result of their bodies being able to absorb the scarce light that breaks through the heavy clouds on the rare occasions that the sun is present. Their long, furry tails help them keep warm, but also make them excellent swimmers in the icy rivers that travel through Aurora's glaciers. They have large black eyes, a trait that helps them see better in the dark and their acute sense of smell allows them to detect the slightest hint of danger. They are a peaceful species, but fiercely loyal to their homeworld and to each other, and will go to any length to protect it.
